The RTD category is growing – 31% sales increase at the LCBO in 2025 - and we want to ensure a playing field where Ontario-based producers can thrive.
We are working closely with the provincial government, LCBO and private retailers to support and promote Ontario’s growing craft RTD sector. As the voice of the craft RTD sector in the province, we want to make sure we are representing all craft producers including from a variety of sized manufacturers, from various parts of the province, and with various approaches to craft RTDs including brewers, distillers, and wineries who produce RTDs.

About the Association
The Ontario Craft RTD Association is a group of Ontario-owned beverage manufacturers advocating to government and trade partners on issues important to our category including fair market access, expanding retail opportunities and lowering taxes and markups.
We joined together to advocate for changes to the LCBO’s RTD category after most Ontario-made RTD products were delisted in September 2023 and successfully saw the implementation of a new RTD Small Producers Program at the LCBO in line with many of our recommendations including an expanded, full-year category, the allowance of multi-pack listings, and lower sales thresholds.
We also successfully advocated for changes to the RTD markup structure that were included in the province’s 2025 Budget that reduced RTD markups and secured commitments from government to develop a new craft RTD category with its own markup rate.
We are small businesses that believe in producing innovative, quality products for Ontarians, crafted with care in Ontario by Ontario-owned companies. We are committed to using real, locally distilled spirits in our artisanal canned cocktails and seltzers that are made for Ontarians, by Ontarians.
Governance & Dues
The Association elects a Board of Directors, currently chaired by Natasha Fritzley from Cowbell Brewing and all Association members meet regularly to discuss issues and set advocacy priorities. The Association works with a Government Relations and Public Affairs firm who provides support to the Board and Association members.
Annual member dues are set by the board.
